Daniel Hughes's work revolves around the exploration of self

and hypothetical scenarios based on his experiences involving relationships, religion, and inner conflicts. He relies on oil paint as his primary medium but also does work in various other media. He hopes that the viewer can use the work as a mirror to interpret the works through a personal context while internalizing the intent as well.

Hughes is projected to graduate from Columbus State University with a BFA in Fall 2021 with aspirations to continue into a master's program.
